On 23 March 2020 the President of South Africa announced a lockdown for the period from midnight 26 March 2020 to 16 April 2020 during which period only essential services will be allowed to stay open. All South Africans have to stay home.
The South African Companies and Intellectual Property Office (CIPC) has announced that it will be closed from 25 March 2020 until 30 April 2020 and that all of these days are Dies Non and that any deadline falling within that period will automatically extend to the first day of re-opening.
